Things are really beginning to look different at 123 Arlington Avenue! Tharp Plumbing and Johnson Electric have begun work under the new building slab area, and Matchless Concrete began slap prep and placed stone. Hired Killers Pest Control provided the termite treatment for the new slab.
Drive by 123 Arlington Ave. and have a look, and pray over the area and the community. Continue to pray for favor with the City of Greenville, and with our neighbors, for God’s provision, and for the builders, architects, and engineers.

Be part of our Homebound Ministry
We regularly send people to visit and bring our homebound members church literature, special treats, and sometimes a little help around their homes. Want to help out? Call the church office at 864-232-7312 for more information. It’s a great experience for all!
From Pastor Marty Price
“I can’t, He never said I could. He can, He always said He would!” This is a phrase I have repeated often because of its importance. Living the Christian life is hard. Well, it’s impossible apart from Jesus’ life being given to us at salvation. I want to be certain that we do not (as many have) falsely divide Christianity into two types; “normal” Christians who believe in Christ and are delivered from the penalty of hell, and “Super” Christians who are committed to walking with Jesus on a day-to-day basis. God’s Word makes is clear that there is only one type of Christian, one who has “died, and (whose) life is hidden with Christ in God.”
This month we finish our current sermon series “Living Free from Sin,” and we will take a close look at how we can be “Known By Our Love.” Make plans to join this study of Colossians 3:12-17 on Sunday mornings at 10:30. We’re excited to honor our graduates on Sunday, June 5th during worship service.
Our new adult Christian Life Academy Class is “Holy Living in an Unholy World.” This Study is based on two resources: The Hole in our Holiness (Kevin DeYoung), and “The Nature of Sanctification and Gospel Holiness,” (John Owen). We will deepen our understanding of holiness, and how to glorify God in a world that is hostile to Him. Sunday mornings, 9:00 – 10:00.
As you look through the newsletter you will see many opportunities to worship, serve, and fellowship. I encourage you to make your relationships with your church family a priority as we enter the summer months. Vacation Bible School, in particular, is a ministry that encompasses our whole congregation. Whether you pray, give, lead activities, teach, sing, set-up or however you are involved, please make VBS a priority in your plans and prayers. Our involvement with VBS in the Philippines was a great blessing to Pastor Melo and their churches. They were able to enroll and minister to 357 children, their largest number to date. Praise the Lord! Continue to pray for the Gospel that was shared to impact those children and families.
May marks my nineteenth year as your pastor. I’ve never been more encouraged or excited about how God is working among us, and about the plans He has for us as we return to the West End. I hope you will join me in praying, in thanking God for what He is doing, and in doing everything we do, in word or deed, in the name of the Lord Jesus. It is a great time to be a part of PSBC.
